We are pleased to announce that five 2020 Exhibits projects that have been selected as finalists in EXHIBITOR Magazine’s seventh annual Portable/Modular Awards.

Zesty Paws is named finalist in the Best In-line Exhibit category What’s not to love about this Award of Excellence-winning small trade show booth for Zesty Paws? An inspiring design from the start, this exhibit environment is light-hearted and fun with plenty of room to include products and expand the imagination! A friendly variety of cut-out props, including trees, clouds, a dog and cat can be interchangeably set up in the exhibit.
Gardner Denver is named finalist in the Best Fabric Exhibit category. For OTC2019, Gardner Denver stood out in a sea of exhibitors. Stretching the brand story and message with big, bold swaths of fabric and immersive content, their exhibit environment, and the experience stood heads above the competition. From top to bottom and throughout, the Gardner Denver experience delivers thoughtful environmental touches. By leverage fabrics, display panels, and digital activation, the experience canceled out the noise of competitors. Fabric elements command attention with Gardner Denver branding, messaging, and imagery capturing attention from across the show floor. The 235″ x 188″ outside wall boldly declares the Gardner Denver mission and vision: Purpose. Driven. Service. Since 1859. (If only all companies could have such a powerful history and future to stand upon.
Global Eagle is named finalist Best International Design category. Modern and expansive, this creatively branded display includes a true-to-life cockpit, with custom airplane and airplane cabin. For the pilot and flight enthusiast in this aeronautics loving crowd, this custom cockpit is accessible and allows for more private meetings in comfortable cockpit seats, as desired. The strategy and theme were closely aligned, focusing an overall theme that feels like home entertainment while you travel. Gloriously curved, the hanging fabric signage is seen far and wide across the show floor. Global Eagle’s name is big and bold, popping deliberately from the clouds. Mirroring the curved-arch of the roof of a plane, this curved hanging signage draws attention to the environment’s centerpiece – the airplane’s long cylindrical cabin, with private conference areas strategically tucked inside the cabin. Let’s take flight.

The exhibit experience was developed in a layered, highly visual way to capture attention and attract visitors from far and wide across the show floor. Whether drawn to the exhibit by beautiful videos running across the massive LED video wall (across 150 screens) or the desire to “dig deeper” after seeing the massive 8′ x 6′ 3-D depiction of the firm’s name 2020 , the creative design team took great care to create a clear and consistent layered hierarchy of storytelling throughout the experience, so attendees can easily walk through the environment, no matter where they begin.

This experiential environment celebrates innovative ways to create an inviting, comfortable, and more intimate spaces that feel deliberate, inviting, and intentional. Open to modular, system, and portable exhibits making their debut in the United States or abroad, this competition was judged by a panel of world-renowned designers and marketing experts. According to Travis Stanton, editor of EXHIBITOR Magazine, “Portable/modular exhibits are increasingly common on the trade show floor, and it’s easy to see why. They’re typically less expensive to deploy, easier to install, and more versatile than traditional custom exhibitry. This competition is intended to spotlight the most remarkable of these affordable, adaptable, and reconfigurable structures, while demonstrating the kind of well-designed, eye-catching exhibits that can be created using portable, modular, and system components.”
