2020 Exhibits, Inc. is looking for a full-time Detailer to join our team. This is an on-site role in our Exhibits and Environments division, located in Houston, TX. The Detailer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with exhibit design and production. This includes creating detailed construction drawings and specifications, collaborating with shop and team members to ensure accurate and timely execution of project drawings. The Detailer will work closely with the design, estimating and production teams to deliver high-quality exhibits and environments that meet client expectations. The candidate will have excellent communication and proven abilities producing quality, detailed drawings. Expectations include the capacity to manage project flow and reach crucial judgments that guarantee projects are successfully completed while adhering to the company's goal and guaranteeing total client satisfaction.
Pay is commensurate to experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
- Create CNC ready toolpaths for producing customer components
- Ensure project quality standards are met and timely project completion
- Attend put-to-work meetings to discuss the best way to execute upcoming projects
- Review client blueprints, plans, specifications, and other documentation
- Close out job folders, tasks and communicate time spent is entered and communicated to AE, AM
- Produce production-ready construction and installation drawings using AutoCAD 3D
- Ensure relevant files are attached to projects and have been approved for production
- Manage outsourced projects; acquire and transfer files to vendor, receive and make sure proofs are reviewed, ensure final approval
- Communicate with account teams on each project from start to finish ensuring each project is up to 2020 Exhibits standards along with meeting the client’s expectations
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret and translate design specifications
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of materials, fabrication techniques, and exhibit production processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Illustrator,
- Proficiency with EnRoute 4 or newer a plus
- Experience in the trade show industry is a plus
- Experience with metal and wood fabrication is a plus
- Ability to assume responsibility for completion of projects in the absence of direct supervision
- Proficient in 2D and 3D aspects of AutoCAD
- Ability to generate detailed construction drawings from sketches and specifications
- Ability to work flexible hours under extreme pressure and maintain deadlines
- The capacity to multi-task, shift priorities, and oversee many projects at once
- Relevant experience in exhibits/events/environments a plus
- Knowledge of standard drafting practices and procedures
