2024 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
CHALLENGE
For ninety years, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has been contributing to agriculture, Western heritage, education, and entertainment in Houston and its surrounding areas. Since 1932, when it was established, millions of local and international visitors have flooded the grounds of NRG Park for the best in music, food, and family entertainment.
When HLSR and the Houston Methodist reached out to 2020 Exhibits to create striking and inviting deliverables that would engage RODEOHOUSTON attendees and represent their brand, the team was more than up for the challenge.
It has always been a pleasure for 2020 Exhibits to provide services for local clients and for a non-profit organization with such history and cultural richness that gives so much to the community and the future of young Texans.
SOLUTION
2020 Exhibits left its footprint at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo throughout NRG Park, where various attention-grabbing assets and photo ops can be found
There’s a Chuck Wagon with a Kroger-branded canvas and 36-inch wheels, perfect for visitors, young and old, wanting a photo memory in Western style.
Another photo op to be proud of is the double-sided, 10×20 Houston Methodist Display that highlights the prestigious hospital as the Official Trainer and Healthcare Provider for the Houston Rodeo. The display spotlights Barrel Racer Jordon Briggs’ workout routine and Bareback Rider Kaycee Field as one of Houston’s toughest athletes.
Keeping up with the current social media and digital times we live in, 2020 designed and delivered the Rodeo’s request of big, bold, and orange hashtag letters (#since1932) to show off its year of establishment. The conspicuous hashtag letters inevitably invite thousands of Rodeo goers to take pictures and proudly upload them to their social media accounts.
2020 Exhibits also custom-built a 20×24 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Retail Merchandise Booth. Featuring built-in storage and shelves to display clothing and other items, the team fulfilled the Rodeo’s vision of a youthful, barn-like design, complete with an antique Bourbon Pine Wood Laminate.
New to the Rodeo in 2024 was the RODEOHOUSTON Hall of Fame Wall–which recognizes individuals for their impact on the Rodeo’s success and spotlights celebrities of the caliber of Elvis, Reba McEntire, and Selena on a glowing backlit box. To highlight the title, “Legends of the Arena”, the team at 2020 used beautiful, eye-catching Halo-lit Acrylic Letters.
With millions of local, statewide, nationwide, and international attendees each year, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is the city’s most anticipated family event of the year and one Houstonians are very proud of. Comparable to Mardi Graw in New Orleans or New Year’s Eve in Times Square, it is Houston’s trademark event.
2020 Exhibits is proud to partner with RODEOHOUSTON and other local and international clients at this monumental event and hopes to continue for future generations.
