Account Executive Houston, TX
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- New business development
- Work with internal teams to develop and implement sales and marketing programs designed to expand the current client base
- Research and evaluate new product opportunities, demand for potential products, and customer needs and insights
- Develop and implement marketing strategy and execution of plans for existing products
- Work with the management team to implement new product marketing paths and campaigns
- Analyze the effectiveness of all selling and marketing efforts and take actions to improve results continually
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably business/marketing/communications emphasis or equivalent industry experience
- Prior sales experience in an agency or exhibit environment with a focus on new business development. Three+ years consultative account management experience, preferably in custom product/marketing solutions, events, trade shows, or the advertising industry
- Focus on new business development
- Proven track record of success with cold calling, networking, and relationship development
- Trade show/convention industry experience is a plus
- Experience developing targeted solicitation plans to secure key accounts
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Results-oriented individual with proven sales success
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing a short and long-term vision and strategy to achieve targeted sales objectives in a fast-paced environment
- Moderate travel required – up to 35%
- Good written, verbal communication, and collaborative skills
- Computer literate – Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Outlook and Word
- Strong organizational skills
